Gaviscon Dual Action works in two ways to effectively relieve symptoms of both heartburn and indigestion.
1) Neutralises excess stomach acid.
2) Forms a protective barrier over the stomach contents which helps prevent acid coming back up into the oesophagus (food pipe).
Active Ingredients:
Sodium alginate, calcium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate.
How to take Gaviscon Dual Action Tablets:
Adults and children over 12 years: 4 Tablets.
Children 6-12 years: 2 tablets
Not recommended for children under 6 years.
Take as required after meals and before going to bed, up to 4 times a day or as directed.
Chew tablets thoroughly before swallowing and follow with water if desired.
Ensure blister pack is unbroken before first use.

Gaviscon Dual Action works in two ways to effectively relieve the symptoms of both heartburn and indigestion.
1) The sodium alginate in Gaviscon Dual Action begins to form a thick layer (known as a raft) on top of the stomach contents once it makes contact with the stomach acid. The raft acts as a strong physical barrier and helps to keep stomach contents in the stomach where they belong and not in the food pipe where they hurt.
2) The antacid neutralises excess stomach acid to relieve pain and discomfort of indigestion.
Other Information:
Does not contain aluminium, sugar or gluten.
The maximum total daily intake (16 tablets) for adults contains 886mg of sodium (take into account if on a low sodium diet), 9.6g of mannitol and 4.6g of xylitol.
Products containing mannitol and xylitol may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.
Contains aspartame.
