MicroHeal Microdacyn Wound Care Solution 120ml
Microdacyn Wound Care is part of the MicroHeal range of products and is uniquely formulated to quickly heal acute and chronic wounds including ulcers, burns, cuts and abrasions.
Microdacyn is used to irrigate, clean and debride the wound to improve healing as follows:
Creates a moist wound healing environment
Removal and Physical kill of bacteria (including drug resistant bacteria ('super bugs'), viruses, fungi and spores
Removal and kill of biofilm (a very difficult to manage group of bacteria)
Reduces inflammation
Improves TcP02 (oxygen supply) of chronic wounds
Reduces time to Wound Healing, including Burns
While the pH neutral, non-cytotoxic solution leaves human cells unharmed.
Microdacyn use is recommended in a number of International and New Zealand specific Guidelines for treating wounds and preventing infection.
How To Use:
Use Microdacyn at each dressing change and can be used up to 3 times daily. If required saturate the old dressing with Microdacyn to assist its removal.
Hold the spray bottle close to the skin damage, irrigate until the wound is free from visible debris. Remove the cap if required and pour the solution. Do not rinse Microdacyn off the wound.
Some acute wounds and all chronic wounds may require a Microdacyn soak. Place a soaked gauze on the wound for up to 15 minutes. Irrigate the site clear of any debris and cover with an appropriate dressing.
Microdacyn Hydrogel can be applied as required to provide further moisture and create an optimal healing environment.
Suitable for use on even the most sensitive of areas including the face, mouth and nose. Microdacyn is non-cytotoxic so will not damage these sensitive areas.
Microdacyn is ready for use with no mixing or dilution.
